Whit -

I haven't stocked up on anything, but that is for two reasons. One reason is that I really enjoy the Propeller so I haven't had much time with the SX yet. The other reason is that Parallax will continue to stock SX items for years to come - as long as they can. Yes they may be going through an EOL, but for the hobbyists they should have plenty of stuff for a long time. Manufacturers of equipment with the parts will want to plan it out and be sure to buy enough until they are able to redesign their products.

Timothy,

I have one of the SX medals. Since the SX is now EOL, what accesories should I pick up and what should I download to have myself covered? Are you loading up on anything?

Right, the scrolling text medal requires 2 of 123 batteries. These are usually photo lithium. A post about the medal also mentioned this.

Right now there are no hardcopy resources provided in the kit for programming SX/B. However, there are several great resouces on-line including an SX/B application e-book by Jon Williams that will be published later this year. Watch the blog for more details.

Timothy,

What are the resorces in the kit for programming in Basic. Moving from Basic Stamps to the SX, this would be important to me. Is there a seperate book for this?
